Drugs and alcohol make such fools of people...

...and people are such fools to begin with, it's a compounding felony.

The very fact that a person cannot control their lust for strong drink or other form of drug or the brother/sisterhood it brings with it is undeniable proof that people are FOOLS.

First off (and I have to say all this so some people don't freak out), who am I to judge YOU? Oh, I'm not judging you. I don't know where you stand with God, for one thing that's none of my business, and for another, what I think shouldn't matter anyway if you know you're at peace with God. Even so, I'm not judging YOU. I'm judging the action. The sin. That's not to say I'm perfect. Never said I was. I judge my own sins, but unfortunately I still stumble. All I can say is that I'm still TRYING to make a difference in my life, I'm not simply accepting that I'm a sinner and moving on, I'm trying to fix it, trying to make it right. Why some people don't do that is beyond me, but know that I still pray for you, because I know that there is a reason for your actions that is beyond your realm of control at this moment in life. Just know that the ONLY true answer is the Lord Jesus Christ, NOT trying to justify your actions.

I'm tired of being pressured into drinking and smoking. I'm tired of being left out because I DON'T drink or smoke. I'm tired of being named a loser because I don't, I'm tired of people accusing me of not knowing how to have fun because I don't, and I'm SICK AND TIRED of people acting like dumb, blind sheep just following the flock wherever it goes.

It's like an unwritten rule that college is all about the parties. Sad thing is, SOME of us actually want to treat our bodies as the temple of God... and we're cast out for it.

Guess that's what being a Christian is...

But what about when other self-proclaimed Christians "party it up"? Hypocricy.

The rules of the Nazarene church, if you're a MEMBER of the Nazarene church, you shall NOT drink, you shall NOT smoke, you WILL keep God's temple, your body clean and holy.

Unfortunately there are those people who become members of the church and seem to not understand what it means.

This is why America hates Christians. We talk the talk, but a lot of us definitely are not walking the walk, and when America sees that, they hate the hypocricy, they hate the corruption, they hate that there are people pretending to be better than everyone who are STILL doing the same damned things that they are SUPPOSED to be against.

This is why Christians are quickly losing ground in America.

3 out of 4 teens will have sex before they're married, and CONTINUE to do so because once they've done it once, they feel as if there's no point in stopping.

This includes Christians. I've done the counting, and that statistic holds true, even within my own church... within my own group of friends.

I know it hurts to have made such a collossal mistake. I know how hard it is to control yourself... I'm a guy from pete's sake, I KNOW what temptation is. But I've managed to not have sex for 20 years, (if you can even count the first 14).

But don't give up on yourself. You may not realize it, but there IS new life through Christ.

I'll be praying for you. All of you. And I'd hope you'd be willing to pray for me, and for my purity as well.
